1/2 Cup of Fonio Grain
1 1/2 Cups of Milk, Water or Milk alternative
Brown Sugar, Maple Syrup or other Sweetener
Pour 1/2 cup of Fonio Grain into a medium-sized pot. Add raisins (optional) and cinnamon (optional)
Add 1 1/2 cups of milk, water or milk alternative. Bring to a boil.
Turn down to medium-low heat and let simmer until liquid is absorbed (about 5 minutes).
Add brown sugar, maple syrup or other sweetener to desired taste.
Stir from time to time to prevent porridge from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Leave to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
