1/2 Cup of Fonio Grain
1 1/2 Cups of Milk or Water
Brown Sugar, Maple Syrup or other Sweetener
Pour 1/2 cup of Fonio Grain into a medium-sized pot. Add raisins (optional) and cinnamon (optional)
Add 1 1/2 cups of milk or water. Bring to a boil.
Turn down to medium-low heat and let simmer until liquid is absorbed (about 10 minutes).
Add brown sugar, maple syrup or other sweetener to desire taste.
Stir from time to time to prevent porridge from sticking to the bottom of the pot. Leave to stand for 2 minutes before serving.
