Ingredients

  • ½ c Farafena Fonio Grain
  • ¾ c liquid vegetable or chicken broth
  • ¾ c fresh seasoned vegetable mix
  • 1 tbsp grapeseed oil
  • ½ tsp sea salt

    • Instructions

  • Measure out fonio grain and place into bowl.
  • Measure out vegetable broth, oil, salt and place into bowl with fonio grain.
  • Mix fonio and liquid together, until dry lumps are broken up.
  • Cover bowl with lid and microwave for 1.5 minutes until cooked.
  • BOWL AND CONTENTS WILL BE HOT. Carefully remove bowl from microwave and remove lid; fluff with fork.
  • Measure and add vegetable mix to cooked fonio, mix until incorporated.
  • Cover bowl with lid and return to microwave; microwave 20-30 seconds until vegetables are warm.
  • BOWL AND CONTENTS WILL BE HOT. Carefully remove bowl from microwave, remove lid and stir lightly with spoon.
  • Serve hot.
